Overview

Etoxym Tablets (10 pack) contain etoricoxib, an anti-inflammatory pain reliever from the COX-2 selective NSAID group. It is used to relieve pain and inflammation in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, and acute musculoskeletal and back pain, as well as some dental pain. Etoricoxib works by reducing the chemicals that cause pain and swelling, and being COX-2 selective it may be a little gentler on the stomach than older NSAIDs. Directions for Use

This is a prescription/pharmacy medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, swallowed with water, with or without food (it may work faster on an empty stomach). Use the lowest dose for the shortest time needed. Do not take other NSAID painkillers at the same time, and do not exceed the stated dose.

As an NSAID it carries heart, blood-pressure, stomach and kidney risks. Use the lowest dose briefly. Do NOT use if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart failure, established heart or circulatory disease, active stomach ulcer/bleeding, or severe liver or kidney disease; avoid in pregnancy. Your doctor may check your blood pressure. Report swelling, breathlessness, chest pain, black stools or stomach pain. Tell your doctor about blood thinners and other medicines. Store below 30°C.
