    Overview
    Exevate MF Ointment (20g) contains mometasone furoate, a potent topical corticosteroid that calms inflamed, itchy skin. Applied to the affected area, it reduces the redness, swelling, scaling and itching of steroid-responsive skin conditions such as eczema (dermatitis) and psoriasis. The ointment base is especially soothing for dry, thickened or flaky skin, helping to seal in moisture while the steroid settles the inflammation. Once-daily application makes it convenient. A doctor-prescribed option for people needing effective, short-term control of troublesome inflammatory skin flare-ups.

    Active: Mometasone furoate 0.1% (1mg/g). Confirm any additional ingredients on the packaging. Ointment base of paraffins.

    Directions for Use
    This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Usually a thin layer applied to the affected skin once daily. Wash and dry your hands, apply sparingly to the inflamed area only, and rub in gently. Do not use on large areas, the face or skin folds, or for long periods unless advised, and do not cover with airtight dressings. Use for the shortest time needed to control the flare.

    For external use only. Avoid the eyes and broken or infected skin. As a potent steroid, prolonged or excessive use can thin the skin, so keep to the course your doctor sets. Do not use on undiagnosed rashes that may be infected (e.g. ringworm or impetigo), as steroids can worsen them. Tell your doctor if the skin does not improve.
