Overview
Postinor-2 is an emergency contraceptive designed to help prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. Each pack contains 2 tablets, each with 0.75 mg of Levonorgestrel, a synthetic progestogen that works by delaying ovulation and preventing fertilization. Effective emergency contraception if taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse Two-dose regimen: Take one tablet as soon as possible, and the second tablet 12 hours later Not intended for routine contraceptive use Does not terminate an existing pregnancyÂ

Take the first tablet as soon as possible after unprotected sex (preferably within 12 hours, not later than 72 hours)Â Take the second tablet exactly 12 hours after the first doseÂ
Not recommended for use more than once in a menstrual cycle Not a substitute for regular contraception May cause temporary side effects such as nausea, fatigue, headache, or menstrual changes Seek medical advice if menstruation is delayed by more than 7 daysÂ
