Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Dosage is determined by your prescribing doctor based on your individual needs. Do not adjust your dose without medical supervision. Prepared and administered by a healthcare professional, who determines the dose, route (into a vein or muscle) and frequency based on the infection and the patient. The full course is completed even as the patient improves. This medicine is administered under medical supervision.
Tell the healthcare team about any penicillin or other antibiotic allergy before use. Penicillin allergy can cause serious reactions; stop and seek help for rash, swelling or breathing difficulty. Report severe or bloody diarrhoea during or after treatment (possible C. difficile). Rarely, flucloxacillin can affect the liver (sometimes appearing after treatment ends). Report yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine or persistent nausea. Used with caution in liver problems, kidney impairment and the elderly. Tell the team about all medicines.
