Furosemide 10mg/ml Syrup is a liquid form of the potent loop diuretic furosemide, allowing precise dosing for children and for adults who cannot take tablets. Furosemide helps the kidneys remove excess salt and water, relieving the fluid overload and swelling of heart, kidney and liver conditions, and helping control high blood pressure, under medical direction.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take or give the exact dose your doctor prescribes, using the measuring device provided, usually in the morning (and early afternoon if a second dose) to avoid night-time urination. Confirm the dose and timing for the relevant age. Do not change the dose yourself; attend scheduled blood tests.

May cause dizziness from fluid loss, especially when standing. Rise slowly and maintain the fluid intake your doctor advises. Furosemide can lower potassium, sodium and other electrolytes. Report muscle cramps, weakness, palpitations or confusion; potassium may be supplemented or monitored. Caution in gout, diabetes and with sulfonamide allergy. Tell your doctor about all medicines, especially other blood pressure medicines, NSAIDs, lithium and digoxin. Measure liquid doses carefully every time.
