Gacet 250mg Suppositories contain paracetamol in a suppository form, used to relieve pain and reduce fever in children. Inserted rectally, they are especially useful when a child cannot take medicine by mouth. For example due to vomiting, refusal or during sleep. Gacet provides gentle relief from fever and mild-to-moderate pain (such as teething, earache or post-vaccination discomfort) for children . The 250mg strength suits older children at doctor- or pharmacist-advised doses.

Directions for Use

Use the strength and dose appropriate for your child's age and weight as advised by your doctor or pharmacist. Remove the wrapper, and gently insert one suppository into the back passage (rectum). Do not give more often than every 4-6 hours, and do not exceed the maximum daily doses of paracetamol from all sources in 24 hours. Do not give other paracetamol-containing medicines at the same time.

For rectal use in children. The most important risk is paracetamol overdose. Never give more than the stated dose, space doses by at least 4-6 hours, and do not combine with other paracetamol products (syrups, drops). Use the correct strength for the child's weight/age. Seek urgent care if too much is given, even if the child seems well. Do not use if your child is allergic to paracetamol or has severe liver problems. Store in a cool place.
