Gentamycin Drops 5ml contain gentamicin, an antibiotic used in the eyes or ears (as directed) to treat bacterial infections. Such as bacterial conjunctivitis ('red eye') or certain outer ear infections. Gentamicin tackles the bacteria causing the infection, clearing it and relieving the redness, discharge and discomfort.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Instil the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye(s) or ear as directed, completing the full course (often a few extra days after symptoms settle). Wash hands first and avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye, ear or any surface. For eye use, vision may blur briefly. Confirm whether your drops are for the eye or ear, and the regimen, with your pharmacist.

Use exactly as prescribed and only in the site directed (eye or ear). Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye, ear or any surface, to keep it sterile, and follow the discard period after opening. For ear use, do not use if the eardrum may be perforated unless specifically advised. Discontinue and seek advice if irritation, swelling or worsening occurs. Persistent, painful or worsening symptoms, or eye pain and vision changes, need assessment. Complete the course. Do not share the bottle.
