Overview
Germolene Antiseptic Cream 30g is the classic pink dual-action cream that cleans and soothes minor skin injuries in one step. Its antiseptic (chlorhexidine) helps prevent infection in cuts, grazes, minor burns, scalds, blisters, stings and chapped skin, while a mild local anaesthetic (phenol) numbs the sting and itch on contact. The famous Germolene 'numbing action'. A first-aid kit essential in homes for generations, it keeps everyday knocks and scrapes clean, calm and comfortable while they heal.
Chlorhexidine digluconate 0.25% w/w and phenol 1.2% w/w in an emollient cream base.
Directions for Use
Clean the affected area and apply a small amount of cream gently once or twice daily, or as needed. Cover with a plaster or dressing if required. Wash hands before and after use. For minor wounds only. Deep, large, dirty or animal-bite wounds need professional care. If a wound shows spreading redness, swelling, pus or fever, see a clinician promptly.
For external use only on minor wounds. Avoid eyes, mouth, ears and large broken areas. Do not use if allergic to chlorhexidine or phenol; stop if rash or irritation develops. Not for deep puncture wounds, serious burns or infected wounds needing medical treatment. Use on young children on a pharmacist's advice. Store below 25°C with the cap tightly closed.
