Overview

Glevonix 750mg Tablets (10 pack) contain levofloxacin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the fluoroquinolone group. It is used to treat a range of bacterial infections, including certain chest infections (pneumonia), sinus and urinary infections, and skin and soft-tissue infections, particularly where other antibiotics are unsuitable. Levofloxacin works by killing the bacteria causing the infection. The 750mg strength is a once-daily dose used for certain infections as prescribed. A doctor-prescribed antibiotic helping patients treat more stubborn bacterial infections. Confirm the active on the pack.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one 750mg tablet once daily, swallowed with plenty of water, with or without food, at the same time each day. Keep well hydrated. Separate it by at least 2 hours from antacids, iron, zinc or calcium/dairy, which reduce its absorption. Complete the full course exactly as prescribed, even if you feel better, to fully clear the infection and prevent resistance.

Fluoroquinolones can rarely cause tendon pain or swelling (and tendon rupture). Stop and seek advice if a tendon hurts, and avoid strenuous exercise during treatment, especially if you are older or take steroids. Report any new numbness/tingling, severe mood changes, palpitations, or signs of low blood sugar. Tell your doctor about epilepsy, heart-rhythm problems, kidney disease, or myasthenia gravis. Avoid excessive sun exposure. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only if essential. Store below 30°C.
