Overview
Molezt Kid Dispersible Tablets are a prescription combination medicine for children containing montelukast and levocetirizine. Montelukast (a leukotriene receptor antagonist) and levocetirizine (an antihistamine) work together to control allergy and asthma-related symptoms by reducing the allergic response and airway inflammation that cause a blocked or runny nose, sneezing and wheezing. The dispersible form is easy to give to children for allergic rhinitis and to help prevent asthma symptoms, taken once daily under a doctor's guidance.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Give only as directed by your doctor. It is usually given once daily, in the evening, at the same time each day. The dispersible tablet can be dissolved in a little water or allowed to disperse, as per the packaging. Use regularly for prevention of symptoms, not only when symptoms appear. Follow the exact dose for your child's age and weight.
This is a prescription medicine for children. Follow age-appropriate dosing. Tell your doctor if your child has mood or behaviour changes (such as sleep problems, agitation or low mood), as montelukast can rarely cause these. Report any such changes. May cause mild drowsiness (antihistamine). It is not a reliever for sudden asthma attacks; a fast-acting inhaler should still be available. Tell your doctor about other medicines and any kidney problems. Store in a cool, dry place. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
Active ingredients: Montelukast + Levocetirizine (paediatric strengths, commonly montelukast 4mg + levocetirizine 2.5mg). Confirm strengths on packaging.
