Avamys Nasal Spray (27.5 micrograms, 120 sprays) from GSK contains fluticasone furoate, a modern once-daily corticosteroid nasal spray for allergic rhinitis in adults and children from 6 years. It relieves the full range of nasal allergy symptoms. Sneezing, itching, running and congestion, and also helps allergy-related itchy, watery eyes. Its gentle, scent-free fine mist and side-actuated device make it easy and comfortable to use daily. For people troubled by dust, pollen or pet allergies, Avamys delivers 24-hour symptom control from a single daily dose.

Fluticasone furoate 27.5 micrograms per spray (aqueous nasal suspension), 120 metered sprays.

Directions for Use

This medicine should be used as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Shake well, prime before first use, then gently blow your nose. Tilt your head slightly forward, place the nozzle in one nostril aiming toward the outer wall, press once while breathing in gently; repeat in the other nostril. Usual dose: adults and children 12+, two sprays per nostril once daily (reducing to one when controlled); children 6-11, one spray per nostril once daily. Use regularly. Maximum benefit builds over 1-2 days. Wipe the nozzle and replace the cap after use.

Do not use if allergic to fluticasone furoate; tell your doctor about recent nasal surgery, injury or untreated nasal infection. May cause nosebleeds, dryness or headache. Report severe or persistent nosebleeds. Prolonged high-dose use should be reviewed by a doctor, especially in children, whose growth may need monitoring. Tell your doctor if you take other corticosteroids or strong antifungal/HIV medicines (such as ritonavir or ketoconazole), or if pregnant or breastfeeding. Store below 30°C upright; do not freeze.
