Celabet Tablets (30 pack) are a combination allergy medicine containing betamethasone, a corticosteroid, and dexchlorpheniramine maleate, an antihistamine. They are used to relieve troublesome allergic conditions. Such as severe hay fever and allergic rhinitis, itchy allergic skin rashes and hives (urticaria), and other allergic and inflammatory reactions. Where stronger, short-term treatment is needed. The antihistamine eases sneezing, itching and a runny nose, while the corticosteroid reduces the inflammation behind the allergy. Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine for short-term use. Take only as directed by your doctor. For adults and children over 12, commonly one to two tablets up to four times a day, not exceeding 8 tablets in 24 hours, swallowed with water, with or after food. Use it for the short course your doctor advises, and as symptoms settle, your doctor will usually step you down. Do not stop a longer course abruptly. Follow your doctor's tapering advice.
Because it contains a corticosteroid, it is for short-term use. Longer use needs medical supervision and should not be stopped suddenly. The antihistamine commonly causes drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery if affected, and avoid alcohol. Avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding unless advised. Tell your doctor about diabetes, high blood pressure, glaucoma, stomach ulcers, infections, or an enlarged prostate, and about other medicines. Store below 30°C.
