Overview

Dismont 5mg Tablets contain montelukast 5mg, a leukotriene receptor blocker. Typically the chewable strength for children. Used for asthma maintenance and allergic rhinitis. Montelukast blocks leukotrienes, the inflammatory messengers that tighten airways and trigger allergy symptoms, adding overnight protection in one evening dose.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take or give one tablet once daily in the evening, as prescribed. Chewable forms are chewed before swallowing; confirm the format on the pack. Use every day for prevention, even when symptom-free. Montelukast prevents. It does not relieve sudden asthma attacks: always keep a reliever inhaler available.

Be alert to mood and behaviour changes. Agitation, sleep disturbance, vivid dreams, anxiety or depression have been reported, particularly in children; report them promptly and discuss continuing treatment.
