Ilaxten 20mg Tablets (10 pack) contain bilastine, one of the newest-generation antihistamines, prescribed for allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and hives (urticaria). Bilastine blocks histamine powerfully for a full 24 hours from a single daily tablet, yet barely enters the brain, so it relieves sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes and itchy skin wheals with essentially no drowsiness in most people. For people who need clear-headed allergy control at work, school or behind the wheel, Ilaxten offers modern relief without the sedation of older allergy tablets.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one 20mg tablet once daily on an empty stomach: at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after food or fruit juice, which reduce its absorption. Swallow with water at the same time each day. Use regularly through your allergy season, or as needed for symptoms as your doctor advises.

Avoid taking with grapefruit or other fruit juices. They markedly reduce bilastine absorption. Not recommended under 12 years for this strength. Caution with moderate-severe kidney impairment combined with medicines like ketoconazole or ritonavir. Tell your doctor everything you take. Drowsiness is uncommon but observe your own response before driving. Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding only on medical advice. Store below 30°C in original packaging.
