Overview
Montiget 5mg Tablets (14 pack) are chewable montelukast tablets from Getz Pharma for children aged 6-14 years with asthma or allergic rhinitis. Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist. It blocks the inflammatory chemicals that narrow airways and trigger sneezing, blocked nose and night cough, helping prevent asthma symptoms and exercise-induced wheeze when taken every day. The cherry-flavoured chewable makes daily prevention easy for school-age children, supporting fewer missed school days and better-controlled asthma for families.
Montelukast (as sodium) 5mg per chewable tablet. Contains aspartame.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. The usual dose for children 6-14 years is one 5mg chewable tablet once daily in the evening, chewed thoroughly before swallowing. Take regularly every day, even when symptom-free. Montelukast prevents symptoms rather than relieving an attack. Keep the child's reliever inhaler available for acute wheeze.
Not for relief of an acute asthma attack. Contains aspartame. Caution in phenylketonuria. Report mood or behaviour changes (agitation, sleep disturbance, vivid dreams. Uncommon but recognised with montelukast) to your doctor. Do not stop other prescribed asthma medicines without medical advice. Tell your doctor if the child takes phenobarbital or rifampicin. Store below 30°C protected from moisture and light. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
