Overview
Rupatine 10mg Tablets (10 pack) contain rupatadine, a non-drowsy (second-generation) antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms. It is used to treat allergic rhinitis (hay fever and year-round nasal allergies) and hives (urticaria), easing symptoms such as sneezing, a runny or itchy nose, itchy watery eyes, and itchy skin or welts. Rupatadine works by blocking histamine, the chemical that drives allergic reactions, giving relief with little drowsiness in most people. A doctor- or pharmacist-recommended allergy reliever for people. Confirm the active on the pack.
Active: Rupatadine (as fumarate) 10mg per tablet.
Directions for Use
Take only as directed. Usually one 10mg tablet once daily, swallowed with water, with or without food, at about the same time each day. Use it regularly during your allergy season or while symptoms last for the best control. Avoid taking it with grapefruit juice, which can increase the medicine's levels. Follow the age guidance on the pack.
Although usually non-drowsy, it can make some people sleepy. See how it affects you before driving, and avoid alcohol. Tell your doctor about heart-rhythm problems, or liver or kidney disease, and about other medicines (including certain antifungals and antibiotics) that can interact. Avoid grapefruit juice. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice. Store below 30°C. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
