Overview

Telova Syrup is a paediatric allergy medicine that combines two active ingredients - Levocetirizine (an antihistamine) and Montelukast (a leukotriene receptor blocker). Together they relieve the symptoms of allergies and hay fever, such as sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, itching and watery eyes, and they help calm inflammation in the airways linked to allergic asthma. Formulated as an easy-to-take syrup, it is designed mainly for children who suffer from allergic rhinitis (seasonal or year-round allergies) and related allergic conditions. A convenient option for parents managing a child's persistent allergy symptoms.

Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride and Montelukast (per 5 ml - strength as stated on the pack).

Directions for Use

This medicine requires a prescription. Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Shake the bottle well before use and measure the dose with the measuring cup or oral syringe provided - not a kitchen spoon. Give the prescribed dose once daily, usually in the evening, with or without food. Do not exceed the dose advised for your child's age and weight, and complete the course as directed by your doctor.

Give only the dose appropriate for your child's age and weight, exactly as prescribed. Not suitable for children below the age recommended by your doctor, or where there is a known allergy to levocetirizine or montelukast. May cause drowsiness - watch your child around stairs or activities needing alertness. Tell your doctor about any mood or behaviour changes, as montelukast has rarely been linked to sleep disturbance or mood changes. Use with caution in liver or kidney problems. Store below 25°C; do not use after the expiry date or beyond the period after opening stated on the pack.
