Tofen 1mg (ketotifen) is a prescription antihistamine used to prevent and relieve allergic conditions, including allergic asthma, allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and other allergic symptoms. Ketotifen works by blocking histamine and helping to stabilise the cells that release allergy-causing chemicals, which over time helps reduce the frequency and severity of allergic and asthmatic symptoms. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Tofen is usually taken once or twice daily, often with food, swallowed with water (a syrup form is available for children). It works as a preventive. Take it regularly, as it may take a few weeks to show full benefit, and it is not for relieving a sudden asthma attack.
