Overview

Fosmol 3000mg Sachets (2 pack) contain fosfomycin, an antibiotic used to treat uncommon, simple urinary tract infections (UTIs) such as cystitis, mainly in women. Its big advantage is convenience: a single 3g sachet dissolved in water often clears a simple bladder infection, easing the burning, urgency and frequent urination of a UTI. Each pack contains two doses for use as your doctor directs. A convenient, doctor-prescribed UTI treatment helping women find relief from troublesome bladder infections. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one 3g sachet as a single dose (a second sachet only if specifically prescribed). Empty the contents of the sachet into a glass of cool water, stir to dissolve and drink straight away. It is best taken on an empty stomach, ideally at bedtime after emptying your bladder. Complete the treatment exactly as prescribed and drink plenty of fluids.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have kidney problems, or are taking metoclopramide (a stomach/nausea medicine), which can reduce its effect. Mild diarrhoea or stomach upset can occur; seek advice if it is severe or contains blood. See your doctor if your UTI symptoms do not improve within a few days, worsen, or come with fever or back/flank pain, as this may signal a more serious infection. Store below 30°C in a dry place.
