Warfarin (Warexx) 5mg is a prescription anticoagulant ('blood thinner') used to prevent and treat harmful blood clots. It is used in conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism, atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart rhythm) and in people with mechanical heart valves, to reduce the risk of stroke and clot-related complications. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take exactly as directed by your doctor. The dose is set individually based on regular blood tests (INR) and may change. Take it once daily at the same time, usually in the evening, swallowed with water. Do not change the dose yourself, never miss INR appointments, and keep your vitamin K intake (green leafy vegetables) consistent.

This is a prescription blood thinner with a narrow safety margin. Too much causes bleeding, too little fails to prevent clots. Seek urgent help for unusual bruising, blood in urine/stool, black stools, coughing/vomiting blood, severe headache, or prolonged bleeding, and after any significant injury. Tell all doctors, dentists and pharmacists you take warfarin. Many medicines, supplements (including herbal) and alcohol interact with it. Avoid NSAIDs/aspirin unless advised.
