Stir-Up Memantine 10mg Tablets (20 pack) contain memantine, a medicine for moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease and related dementia. Memantine works differently from other dementia medicines. It regulates glutamate, a brain chemical that becomes overactive in Alzheimer's and damages nerve cells. Helping stabilise memory, attention, daily functioning and behaviour, and easing the burden of care. It can be used alone or alongside other dementia treatments. Dispensed against prescription, memantine supports families caring for loved ones living with dementia.

Memantine hydrochloride 10mg per film-coated tablet.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Treatment usually starts at a low dose and increases weekly to the maintenance dose your doctor sets. Commonly 10mg twice daily or 20mg once daily. Taken at the same time each day, with or without food. A caregiver should supervise dosing. Do not stop or change the dose without medical advice.

Use with caution in epilepsy, severe kidney impairment and a history of seizures. Dose adjustment may be needed. Side effects can include dizziness, headache, constipation, drowsiness and confusion. Report worsening confusion or hallucinations. Tell the doctor about all other medicines, including amantadine, ketamine and dextromethorphan, which should not be combined. Caution with driving.
