Overview
Brivetam 50mg Tablets contain brivaracetam 50mg, a modern antiepileptic medicine used as add-on (or in some cases single) therapy for focal (partial-onset) seizures in epilepsy. Brivaracetam calms the excessive electrical activity behind seizures, offering effective seizure control, often with a favourable tolerability profile, taken twice daily under neurology guidance.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take as prescribed, typically twice daily (morning and evening), with or without food, at consistent times. Take every day to maintain seizure control. Missed doses risk breakthrough seizures. Never stop suddenly: brivaracetam must be withdrawn gradually under medical guidance. Confirm your regimen with your doctor.
May cause drowsiness, dizziness and fatigue, especially at first. Avoid driving until stable and as your situation legally allows, and avoid alcohol. Report mood or behaviour changes, including any thoughts of self-harm. Doses are adjusted in liver impairment. Tell your doctor about all medicines (including rifampicin and other epilepsy medicines), and if pregnant or planning pregnancy. Epilepsy in pregnancy needs specialist planning; never stop on your own. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
