Lamitor 100mg Tablets (60 pack) contain lamotrigine, a medicine used to treat epilepsy and to help prevent the mood episodes of bipolar disorder. In epilepsy it helps control different types of seizures, on its own or with other medicines, and in bipolar disorder it helps stabilise mood and prevent depressive episodes. Lamotrigine works by calming over-active electrical signalling in the brain. It is taken regularly under a doctor's guidance as part of a treatment plan. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. The dose MUST be increased slowly step by step when starting, to reduce the risk of a serious rash, so follow the titration schedule exactly and do not rush it. Swallow with water, with or without food, at the same times each day. Do not stop suddenly, as this can trigger seizures or mood changes; any change is made gradually under medical guidance.

IMPORTANT: stop and seek medical help immediately if you develop any skin rash, blisters, mouth/eye sores, fever or swelling, especially in the first weeks. Lamotrigine can rarely cause a serious, life-threatening rash. Report any worsening mood, depression or thoughts of self-harm. Tell your doctor about liver or kidney problems and all other medicines (especially valproate and hormonal contraceptives, which interact). Do not stop suddenly. Store below 30°C.
