Tegretol Syrup contains Carbamazepine 20 mg/ml which is used in the treatment of seizures, trigeminal neuralgia and mania.Its an antiepileptic medication. It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Tegretol Oral Suspension may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Tegretol Suspension may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol. It should be used with caution in patients with kidney and liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
