Gabix contains Gabapentin which is an anti-epileptic drug, also called an anticonvulsant. It affects chemicals and nerves in the body that are involved in the cause of seizures and some types of pain. Gabapentin is used in adults to treat neuropathic pain (nerve pain) caused by herpes virus or shingles (herpes zoster).
Do not chew, crush or break it. Gabix 100 mg Capsules may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Gabix should be taken at the same time every day to maintain consistent levels in your body. Do not stop using Gabix without talking to your doctor, even if you feel better. It causes sleepiness or drowsiness. If this happens to you, do not drive or use machinery. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Gabix as it may cause excessive sleepiness or drowsiness.
