Mucosolvan Liquid 15mg/5ml (100ml) contains ambroxol, a well-established mucolytic from Sanofi used to relieve chesty (productive) coughs by thinning and loosening sticky mucus in the airways so it is easier to cough up. Directions for Use

Shake the bottle before use and measure doses with the cup or spoon provided. Follow the dosage on the packaging or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist. Typical guidance: children 2-5 years, 2.5ml up to three times daily; children 6-12 years, 5ml two to three times daily; adults and children over 12, 10ml three times daily initially. Take with or after food if stomach upset occurs. Drink plenty of fluids, which enhances the mucus-thinning effect. See a doctor if the cough persists beyond 7 days or comes with high fever or breathing difficulty.

Do not use if allergic to ambroxol. Use in children under 2 years only on a doctor's advice. Stop use and seek medical help immediately if a skin rash, blistering or mouth sores develop. Rarely, ambroxol is associated with severe skin reactions. Use with caution in stomach ulcer disease and in kidney or liver impairment. Consult a doctor before use if pregnant.
