Overview

Strepsils Original Lozenges (16 pack) are the classic double-antiseptic sore throat remedy trusted worldwide for generations. Each lozenge combines amylmetacresol and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, which together kill the bacteria associated with sore throats and mouth infections while the dissolving lozenge soothes, moistens and comforts irritated throat tissue. With their familiar honey-and-lemon warmth, Strepsils Original ease the scratchy, painful throats that accompany colds and flu. A staple of medicine cabinets for school, work and travel.

Amylmetacresol 0.6mg and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2mg per lozenge. Contains sucrose and glucose. Full excipient list on product packaging.

Directions for Use

Adults and children over 6: dissolve one lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2-3 hours as needed. Do not exceed 12 lozenges in 24 hours. Allow the lozenge to dissolve completely rather than chewing. See a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist beyond 3 days or are accompanied by high fever or headache.

Not for children under 6. Contains sugar. Diabetics should account for this. Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Stop use if rash or mouth irritation develops. A sore throat with difficulty breathing or swallowing, drooling or severe one-sided pain needs urgent medical review. Lozenges relieve symptoms only.
