Overview
Ziten 20mg Tablets (30 pack) contain teneligliptin, an oral medicine for type 2 diabetes from the DPP-4 inhibitor (gliptin) family. Teneligliptin helps the body release more of its own insulin after meals and reduces the hormones that push blood sugar up, lowering both fasting and after-meal glucose with a low risk of causing low blood sugar on its own. The 20mg strength is the usual once-daily dose. Used with diet and exercise, it helps people with type 2 diabetes keep their blood sugar under control. Confirm the active on the pack.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, swallowed whole with water, with or without food, at the same time each day. Keep taking it regularly alongside your diet and exercise plan even when you feel well, and do not stop without advice. Attend your blood-sugar reviews so the dose can be adjusted as needed.
The risk of low blood sugar rises if combined with insulin or sulfonylureas. Know the signs (shakiness, sweating, confusion) and how to treat them. Tell your doctor about kidney or liver problems, heart-rhythm issues, or a history of pancreatitis, and report severe stomach pain. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice. Store below 30°C. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
Active: Teneligliptin 20mg (as hydrobromide hydrate) per tablet.
