Overview

Diamicron MR 30mg Tablets are the original Servier modified-release gliclazide. A once-daily sulfonylurea for type 2 diabetes when diet and exercise aren't enough. The MR technology releases gliclazide in step with the body's daily rhythm, stimulating insulin smoothly across the day with a lower hypoglycaemia risk than older sulfonylureas, from a single breakfast-time dose.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take with breakfast once daily, swallowing tablets whole. Do not crush or chew modified-release tablets. Never skip the meal after your dose. Doses are titrated by your doctor; monitor blood sugar as advised and attend regular reviews.

Low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia) is the main risk. Learn the warning signs (sweating, shakiness, hunger, confusion) and always carry fast-acting sugar; risk rises with missed meals, alcohol, exercise and interacting medicines.
