Overview
Glipistin 5mg Tablets (30 pack) contain glipizide, a sulfonylurea medicine for type 2 diabetes. Glipizide works by stimulating the pancreas to release more insulin, helping to lower blood sugar. It is used alongside diet and exercise, sometimes with other diabetes medicines, to improve blood-sugar control and reduce the long-term complications of diabetes. The 5mg strength is a common dose, taken before meals so the insulin boost matches the rise in blood sugar after eating. A doctor-prescribed option helping people manage type 2 diabetes. Confirm the active on the pack.

Active: Glipizide 5mg per tablet. Confirm on packaging.

Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually once daily before breakfast, or in divided doses before meals, swallowed with water. Take it shortly before eating, and do not skip meals after taking it, as this can cause blood sugar to drop too low. Keep to your diet, exercise and blood-sugar monitoring plan, and attend regular reviews.

Can cause low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia). Learn the signs (shakiness, sweating, hunger, confusion) and carry a sugary snack; skipping meals, alcohol or extra exercise raises the risk. Tell your doctor about kidney or liver problems, and about other medicines. Older people and those who eat irregularly are more prone to low sugar. May cause weight gain. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on specialist advice. Store below 30°C. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
