Overview
Glysit Plus 10/50mg Tablets (28 pack) is a combination medicine for type 2 diabetes containing dapagliflozin 10mg and sitagliptin 50mg. Dapagliflozin (an SGLT2 inhibitor) helps the kidneys remove excess sugar in the urine, while sitagliptin (a DPP-4 inhibitor) helps the body release more of its own insulin and lower the hormones that raise blood sugar. Together they improve blood-sugar control with a low risk of causing low blood sugar on their own. Used with diet and exercise, it helps people with type 2 diabetes manage their condition. Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, preferably in the morning, with or without food, at the same time each day. Keep taking it alongside your diet and exercise plan even when you feel well, and do not stop without advice. Drink enough fluids, and attend your blood-sugar and kidney reviews.
Can cause genital and urinary infections (from dapagliflozin). Keep the area clean and seek care for symptoms; maintain good fluid intake. Seek urgent care for a rare but serious complication (diabetic ketoacidosis): nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, fast breathing. Even if blood sugar is not very high. Tell your doctor about kidney or liver problems, pancreatitis, or heart failure. Low blood sugar risk rises with insulin or sulfonylureas. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice. Store below 30°C. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
