Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually once or twice daily WITH food, swallowed whole with water, to reduce the stomach upset metformin can cause. Take it at the same times each day. Keep taking it alongside your diet and exercise plan even when you feel well, and attend your blood-sugar and kidney reviews so the dose can be adjusted.

Common metformin effects include nausea, diarrhoea and a metallic taste, usually easing with food and time.
