Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Nogluc is usually taken once daily with breakfast or the first main meal. Taking it with food helps reduce the risk of low blood sugar. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not chew or crush. Your doctor will adjust the dose based on your blood sugar readings. Do not skip meals after taking your tablet, and monitor your blood glucose as advised.

Can cause low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia). Watch for sweating, shaking, hunger, confusion or a racing heart, and keep a sugary snack at hand. Do not use in type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe kidney or liver disease, or if allergic to sulfonylureas. Alcohol can unpredictably raise or lower blood sugar. Limit intake. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding, as alternative treatment is usually preferred. May cause weight gain, nausea or dizziness. Store below 30°C in a dry place.
