Overview
NovoNorm 0.5mg Tablets (30 pack) contain repaglinide, Novo Nordisk's fast-acting mealtime glucose regulator for type 2 diabetes. Taken just before each main meal, repaglinide prompts the pancreas to release a quick burst of insulin exactly when food arrives, controlling the after-meal sugar spikes that standard tablets can miss. Its short action means flexibility. No meal, no dose. Which suits people with irregular eating patterns. A useful option for people whose post-meal readings stay high despite other treatment.
Repaglinide 0.5mg per tablet.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet within 30 minutes before each main meal, starting at 0.5mg and adjusted to your readings. If you skip a meal, skip that dose; if you add a meal, add a dose as instructed. Continue glucose monitoring, healthy eating and activity.
Can cause hypoglycaemia. Carry fast-acting sugar and learn the warning signs; risk rises with missed meals, alcohol and exercise. Not for type 1 diabetes or ketoacidosis. Do not combine with gemfibrozil, and tell your doctor about all medicines. Several antibiotics and antifungals raise repaglinide levels. Caution in liver impairment. Generally avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Discuss alternatives. Store below 30°C. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice.
