Overview
Ceprolen-D Eye/Ear Drops 5ml combine ciprofloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic, with dexamethasone, a potent anti-inflammatory steroid. Treating the infection and calming the painful swelling in one bottle. Prescribed for bacterial eye infections with marked inflammation and for infected, inflamed ears (otitis externa and selected middle-ear conditions), the pairing clears bacteria while rapidly easing redness, pain and discharge. A practical combination prescribed in clinics for stubborn, inflamed eye and ear infections.
Ciprofloxacin 0.3% with dexamethasone 0.1% eye/ear drops. Confirm strengths on product packaging.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Commonly 1-2 drops into the affected eye or ear three to four times daily for up to 7 days. Wash hands first; avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface. For ears, lie with the affected ear up for a few minutes after instilling. Complete the prescribed course even when symptoms settle early.
Do not use for viral or fungal infections, or with a perforated eardrum except on specialist advice. Steroid-containing drops should not be used beyond the prescribed period. Prolonged eye use can raise eye pressure and worsen undiagnosed infections. Stop and seek review for worsening pain, vision changes or rash. Do not wear contact lenses during treatment.
