Overview

FML Drops (fluorometholone 0.1%) are a prescription corticosteroid eye drop used to reduce inflammation in the eye. They are used to treat inflammatory conditions of the eye and surrounding tissues, such as certain types of conjunctivitis and inflammation after eye surgery or injury, helping to relieve redness, swelling, irritation and discomfort. This 5ml drop is used by patients under an eye doctor's guidance, as steroid eye drops require careful monitoring.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Shake the bottle well before use. Tilt the head back, pull down the lower eyelid and instil the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye(s), avoiding touching the eye or dropper tip. Do not stop early or use longer than advised. If using other eye drops, leave at least 5 minutes between them.

This is a prescription steroid eye medicine. Not to be used in untreated eye infections (viral, fungal or bacterial), as steroids can worsen them. Prolonged use can raise eye pressure (glaucoma) and contribute to cataracts, so your eye doctor should monitor you during treatment. Remove contact lenses before use and wait 15 minutes before reinserting. Report eye pain, vision changes or worsening symptoms. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice.
