Overview

FML-Neo Eye Drops 5ml combine fluorometholone, a gentler ocular corticosteroid, with neomycin, an antibiotic. Treating inflamed eye conditions where bacterial infection is present or likely. Prescribed for blepharitis, conjunctivitis and other inflamed, infected external eye conditions, the steroid settles redness, swelling and discomfort while neomycin tackles susceptible bacteria. Fluorometholone is known for a lower tendency to raise eye pressure than stronger steroids, but this Allergan combination still requires careful, short-course use under a prescriber's supervision.

Fluorometholone 0.1% with neomycin sulfate ophthalmic suspension. Contains benzalkonium chloride as preservative. Confirm strengths on product packaging.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Shake well before use. The usual dose is one to two drops into the affected eye two to four times daily for the short course prescribed. Wash hands, avoid touching the dropper to the eye, and complete the full course. Do not share eye drops. Discard 28 days after opening.

Never use for an undiagnosed red eye. Steroids can worsen viral (herpes) and fungal infections. Prolonged use can raise eye pressure and promote cataract; do not extend the course without review. Stop and report eye pain, vision changes or worsening discharge. Do not wear contact lenses during treatment. Allergy to neomycin or other aminoglycosides is a contraindication.
