Overview

Auropred Eye Drops 0.1% contain a corticosteroid (typically prednisolone or loteprednol) for eye inflammation. Calming the redness, swelling and discomfort of allergic eye disease, post-operative inflammation and other steroid-responsive surface conditions, under the direction of an eye clinician. The 0.1% strength addresses moderate inflammation.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Shake well if directed. Instil the prescribed drops into the affected eye(s) at the frequency your eye doctor sets, completing the course and tapering as advised rather than stopping abruptly. Wash hands first, avoid touching the tip to the eye, press the inner corner after each drop, and remove contact lenses before use. Discard 4 weeks after opening.

Steroid eye drops require supervision. Prolonged use can raise eye pressure, promote cataracts and mask infections, especially herpes; pressure checks apply to longer courses. Do not use with untreated eye infections. Report eye pain, worsening redness or vision change promptly. Do not share the bottle. Confirm the active steroid on the packaging.
