Overview
Oflin-D Eye/Ear Drops 5ml combine ofloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic, with dexamethasone, a corticosteroid. Treating bacterial eye and ear infections accompanied by significant inflammation, such as infected conjunctivitis and inflamed outer-ear infections, as directed by a clinician. The antibiotic clears the infection while the steroid rapidly settles redness, swelling and discomfort.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Instil the prescribed drops into the affected eye or ear at the frequency prescribed, typically 3-4 times daily for a short course. Wash hands first; avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface. For ears, lie with the treated ear up for a few minutes after instilling. Complete the full course. Discard 4 weeks after opening.
Steroid-containing drops require medical direction. They can worsen undiagnosed viral or fungal infections and, with prolonged eye use, raise eye pressure. Do not use in the eye if a herpes infection is suspected, or in the ear if the eardrum may be perforated, without clinical assessment. Report worsening pain, discharge, vision or hearing changes promptly. Do not share the bottle. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
