Overview
Alphagan Eye Drops 5ml contain brimonidine tartrate 1.5mg/ml, an alpha-2 agonist that lowers raised pressure inside the eye in open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. Brimonidine works on both sides of the pressure equation. Reducing the production of aqueous fluid and increasing its drainage. Protecting the optic nerve from the silent, progressive damage that causes irreversible vision loss. From Allergan, Alphagan is used alone when beta-blocker drops are unsuitable (for example in asthma) or alongside other drops for additional pressure control in glaucoma care.
Brimonidine tartrate 1.5mg/ml ophthalmic solution. Preservative system as stated on packaging.
