Pharmatimol 0.5% Eye Drops 5ml contain timolol, a beta-blocker eye drop that is a long-established cornerstone of glaucoma treatment. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. The usual dose is one drop in the affected eye(s) once or twice daily. Wash hands, tilt the head back, pull down the lower lid and instil one drop without touching the eye with the dropper. Press the inner corner of the eye for 1-2 minutes afterwards to reduce absorption into the body. Use daily without missing doses, and leave 5-10 minutes between different eye drops.

Even as an eye drop, timolol is absorbed into the body. Do not use in asthma, severe COPD, very slow heart rate or certain heart conduction disorders. Tell your doctor about heart, lung and thyroid conditions, diabetes (it can mask low-blood-sugar signs) and all medicines, including oral beta-blockers. May cause temporary blurring or stinging. Wait before driving. Remove contact lenses before instilling; reinsert after 15 minutes. Discard 28 days after opening. Store below 30°C.
