Esofag-D Capsules (30 pack) combine esomeprazole, an acid-reducing proton-pump inhibitor, with domperidone, a prokinetic that improves stomach movement, for acid reflux with bloating or nausea. Esomeprazole strongly cuts stomach acid to relieve heartburn, acid reflux (GERD) and ulcers, while domperidone (in a sustained-release form) helps the stomach empty and reduces nausea, belching and that uncomfortable over-full feeling. Together they tackle both the acid and the sluggish digestion behind reflux symptoms. A convenient, doctor-prescribed combination for people troubled by reflux with bloating or nausea.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one capsule once daily in the morning, about 30 to 60 minutes before food, swallowed whole with water (do not open or crush). Use for the shortest effective period; domperidone in particular should be used at the lowest dose for the shortest time. Tell your doctor if symptoms persist, as ongoing reflux may need review.

Domperidone can affect heart rhythm, especially at higher doses, in older people or with certain other medicines. Use the lowest dose for the shortest time and tell your doctor about heart problems or a family history of sudden cardiac issues. Tell your doctor if heartburn persists or you have difficulty swallowing, weight loss or black stools. Long-term acid suppression can lower magnesium and vitamin B12.
