Overview

Cyclopam Suspension 30ml is a gentle paediatric antispasmodic that settles crampy tummy pain and colic in children. It combines dicyclomine, which relaxes painful spasms of the stomach and intestinal muscles, with simethicone, which breaks up trapped gas bubbles to relieve bloating and wind. Together they calm abdominal cramps, colic and gas discomfort so children can feed, play and sleep comfortably. A familiar paediatric remedy in households, used in measured doses on a clinician's or pharmacist's advice.

Dicyclomine hydrochloride 10mg with simethicone 40mg per 5ml suspension. Confirm strengths on product packaging.

Directions for Use

Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist, dosed by the child's age and weight. Typically 2.5-5ml two to three times daily before feeds. Shake well before each use and measure with the dropper, syringe or cup provided. Do not exceed the advised dose. If colic or abdominal pain persists, worsens, or comes with vomiting, fever or blood in stool, stop and see a doctor promptly.

Not for infants under 6 months except on a doctor's instruction. Dicyclomine is contraindicated in very young babies. May cause drowsiness, dry mouth, flushing or constipation. Avoid in children with bowel obstruction, severe constipation or urinary retention. Do not combine with other antispasmodic or sedating medicines without advice. Persistent unexplained abdominal pain always needs medical assessment. Store below 30°C protected from light.
