Overview

Sucrafil O Gel 100ml combines sucralfate, the ulcer-coating protectant, with oxetacaine, a long-acting local anaesthetic. Delivering both a physical barrier and rapid numbing relief for painful acidity. Sucralfate binds to ulcerated and inflamed areas of the food pipe and stomach, shielding them from acid so they can heal, while oxetacaine soothes the burning within minutes. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Typically 5-10ml taken on an empty stomach, one hour before meals and at bedtime. Shake well before use and measure with the cup provided. Do not eat or drink for 30-60 minutes after a dose so the protective coat stays in place. Take other medicines at least 2 hours apart from Sucrafil O, as sucralfate reduces their absorption.

Numbness of the mouth and throat after dosing is expected. Take care with hot food and drinks shortly after. Caution in kidney impairment (sucralfate contains aluminium. Avoid prolonged use in renal failure). Constipation is the most common side effect. Separate from tetracyclines, quinolones, thyroid hormone and digoxin by 2 hours. Persistent symptoms, vomiting blood or black stools need urgent medical review. Use in pregnancy on medical advice. Store below 30°C.
