Overview
Sucrafil Suspension (sucralfate) is a prescription medicine used to treat and protect against stomach and intestinal ulcers, and to relieve symptoms of acid-related conditions. Rather than reducing acid, sucralfate forms a protective coating over the ulcer or inflamed area, shielding it from stomach acid and enzymes so it can heal. This 200ml suspension is used by adults for conditions such as peptic and duodenal ulcers and acid reflux-related irritation, under a doctor's guidance.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Shake the bottle well and measure the dose with the device provided. Sucralfate is usually taken on an empty stomach, about one hour before meals and at bedtime. Separate it by about two hours from other medicines and antacids, as it can affect their absorption.
This is a prescription medicine. Take other medicines well apart from sucralfate, as it can reduce their absorption. Use with caution in people with kidney problems or diabetes (some formulations contain sugar/aluminium). May cause constipation. Tell your doctor about all other medicines you take. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice. If symptoms are severe or include vomiting blood or black stools, seek urgent care. Store as directed. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
