Lipiloc 200mg (fenofibrate) is a prescription cholesterol- and triglyceride-lowering medicine belonging to the 'fibrate' group. It mainly lowers high triglycerides and can raise HDL ('good') cholesterol, and is used for severe hypertriglyceridaemia and mixed dyslipidaemia, either when a statin is unsuitable or in addition to a statin when fats remain poorly controlled. Taken once daily alongside a healthy diet, Lipiloc helps adults manage abnormal blood fats and reduce related cardiovascular risk.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Lipiloc 200mg is usually taken once daily with or after a meal (food helps it absorb), swallowed whole with water. Continue alongside a low-fat diet, exercise and other lifestyle measures. Keep taking it even when you feel well, and do not change the dose or stop without medical advice.

This is a prescription medicine. Do not use in severe liver, kidney or gallbladder disease, or if allergic to fenofibrate. Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness promptly. The risk rises if combined with a statin. Tell your doctor about gallstones, and about other medicines including blood thinners (the dose may need adjusting). Your doctor may check liver function and blood fats. Avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Store in a cool, dry place.
