Anomex Suppositories (5 pack) are an anti-haemorrhoidal (piles) treatment that soothes pain, itching and swelling in the back passage. Each suppository combines four ingredients: hydrocortisone (a mild steroid that calms inflammation and itching), lidocaine (a local anaesthetic that numbs pain), zinc oxide (a soothing, protective astringent) and allantoin (which softens and helps repair the tissue). They are used for the discomfort of haemorrhoids and anal fissures. A discreet, effective option helping people find relief from painful, itchy piles. Confirm the actives on the pack.

Actives per suppository: Hydrocortisone acetate 0.25%, Lidocaine 3%, Zinc oxide 5%, Allantoin 0.5%.

Directions for Use

For rectal use. Use as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Typically one suppository inserted into the back passage, often after a bowel movement and at bedtime, usually once or twice daily. Wash your hands, remove the wrapper, and gently insert the suppository pointed-end first; then lie still for a few minutes so it does not slip out. Wash your hands afterwards. Use for the short course advised, not long-term.

For rectal use only. Because it contains a steroid and a local anaesthetic, do not use for longer than advised (usually no more than about a week) or on broken or infected skin without medical advice. Stop and seek advice if you have rectal bleeding, severe pain, or symptoms that do not improve, as piles symptoms can overlap with more serious conditions. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Mild local burning or itching can occur. Store below 30°C, away from heat so they do not melt.
