Tofacinix 11mg is a prescription extended-release medicine containing tofacitinib, a Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor used to treat moderate to severe autoimmune inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and ulcerative colitis when other treatments have not worked well enough. Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine taken under specialist supervision. Take only as directed by your doctor. The 11mg extended-release tablet is usually taken once daily, swallowed whole with water. Do not crush, split or chew. Take it regularly, attend all monitoring appointments and blood tests, and do not change the dose or stop without medical advice.
This is a prescription medicine that lowers immune activity, increasing the risk of serious infections (including TB and shingles), blood clots and certain other risks. Your doctor will screen and monitor you. Tell your doctor about any infection, and seek care for fever, persistent cough, or leg swelling/chest pain or breathlessness. Avoid live vaccines. Regular blood tests (blood counts, liver, cholesterol) are needed. Tell your doctor about all other medicines. Avoid in pregnancy/breastfeeding unless advised. Store in a cool, dry place.
