Vingraf 1mg Capsules contain tacrolimus, a powerful immunosuppressant from Emcure used to prevent the body from rejecting a transplanted organ such as a kidney, liver or heart, and in selected autoimmune conditions. Tacrolimus calms the immune cells that would otherwise attack the new organ, and treatment is precisely tailored using regular tacrolimus blood-level tests. Vingraf is dispensed against a specialist prescription as part of lifelong transplant care. This medicine is administered under specialist medical supervision only. Patients should never switch tacrolimus brands without their transplant team's direction (60 capsules).

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine used under specialist supervision only. Dosage is determined by your transplant specialist based on your weight, transplant type and tacrolimus blood levels. Never adjust it yourself. Capsules are usually taken twice daily, 12 hours apart, on an empty stomach. At least 1 hour before or 2 hours after food. At the same times every day. Do not switch between tacrolimus brands or formulations without specialist direction. Never miss or double doses; missed immunosuppressant doses risk organ rejection.

Tacrolimus interacts with many medicines (certain antibiotics, antifungals, HIV medicines, domperidone) and with grapefruit. Check before adding anything new. It can affect kidney function, blood pressure, blood sugar and potassium. Attend all monitoring appointments. It increases vulnerability to infections and, long-term, certain cancers. Use sun protection and report fevers promptly. Avoid live vaccines during treatment. Do not breastfeed while taking tacrolimus, and discuss pregnancy plans with your specialist.
