Overview
Entamaxin Syrup (100ml) is an oral medicine used to treat intestinal infections that cause diarrhoea and dysentery, in a liquid form convenient for children. Medicines of this type tackle the protozoa (such as amoeba and Giardia) and bacteria behind infective diarrhoea, helping to settle loose, frequent or bloody stools and the cramps that come with them. By clearing the underlying infection, Entamaxin helps relieve symptoms and aid recovery. A doctor- or pharmacist-guided option for families facing gut infections. Confirm the exact active ingredients on the pack.
Antidiarrhoeal/antiamoebic oral suspension. Confirm exact active ingredients and strengths on the product packaging.
Directions for Use
Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The dose depends on age and weight, usually given two to three times daily for the number of days prescribed. Shake the bottle well and measure with the cup or spoon provided. Complete the full course even if the diarrhoea settles earlier, and keep well hydrated with oral rehydration solution throughout.
Confirm the exact active ingredients and the correct dose for a child with your pharmacist before use. Keep up fluids. Watch for signs of dehydration (sunken eyes, little urine, lethargy), which need urgent care, especially in young children. Avoid alcohol if the syrup contains metronidazole-type ingredients. Tell your pharmacist about other medicines and any allergies. Store below 30°C and shake before use.
